Navigation

There are three main levels when browsing this web site. They are the 1) main domains, the 2) topics, and optional sub-topics. As an additional help when navigating comes the 3) History bar.

The Main domains 1) are typically Home, Products, Downloads, Support etc. You can always determine under which main domain you are because the selected domain will be underlined.

The Topics 2) belonging to the selected domain will appear on the topics menu. Additionally some optional sub-topics may appear or disappear as ordinary topics are selected. The selected topic will have a different color than the other topics.

The History bar 3) is a stack based list of visited pages. This list is filled up on the right and emptied on the left side, as you browse this site. It is "intelligent" meaning that it firstly will not show the current page even if it exists in history, and secondly it will not show the same page twice, regardless of how many visits it has got.

Technology

This web site is built around the Microsoft .Net technology. More specifically it is the ASP.Net 2.0 technology.
Almost everything you see is dynamically generated content, compiled from templates and database data. The WEB.SITEMAP is used to generate menus, titles and topic description for all pages. In general, content is stored once, in one place, and used many times, in many places.

Under the hood of this web site runs the The Ingvarius IVS framework for ASP.Net, our own addition to the ASP.Net framework. Currently this is an internal product. It is used all over this site to simplify common tasks, to bind data on web pages, to maintain page workflow and so on. Among other things it supports intelligent postbacks which means you can refresh (the F5 key) the page after a postback without any problems, data is not transmitted twice as it normally is.
